We just had a great weekend with our friends Bob and Rosemary from Jacksonville Florida. It was the member guest invitational golf tournament at Belmont this past weekend and Bob played with Steve. They finished in 5th place and we had fun all weekend. Something about side bets was good too. Rosemary and I have been able to pick up our friendship instantly even with some long interludes. I think that is a true friendship.
Family news is that my Dad has been diagnosed with kidney cancer and had surgery today to remove a kidney. The surgery was successful and as of 9 o'clock tonight Dad was resting comfortably. The cancer was completely contained within the kidney and the removal of the organ is the treatment. No chemo or radiation. We hope for a speedy recovery.
