"A life without love is like a year without summer." ~Swedish Proverb
As much as I love the seasonal weather of the Midwest I wonder if it is because of the wintertime that makes the summer so wonderful. Would sitting on the deck in the evening be quite as wonderful if it could be done all year long? Would we really want to play golf every week all year long? Would going to the swimming pool be quite as much fun if we did it everyday? Somehow I just don't think so. And as much as I am enamored with summertime right now, I know when the cool evenings come around and we get the jeans and sweaters out for football season, I will think perhaps fall is my favorite season. But for now I am surely enjoying my summertime.

I totally agree - I always look forward to the next season!Change is good and keeps us adaptable! Tom's B-Day is today and as mine is coming up - I can't believe we are knocking at the door of the big "60" - not because I am feeling badly about getting older, but because it seems to be going so quickly. Savor your time with AJ (I know you do) and with Jessica - I will be thinking about you having fun during her visit!
Blessings your way!!!
Summer is great-but I love those cool crisp autumn days and evenings. To me that is worth living through the heat and humidity and the ice and snow. Can we just say Go Bucks and Go Spartans? I can't believe it is so close to the end of summer.
Looking forward to some visits soon. Thinking of all the Stanfords.
