Knowing that the temperature in Ohio is in the teens makes getting ready to leave Florida harder. We played vacation golf (means you don't keep score) yesterday and will spent today walking the beach and watching the waves.
Little did Tom and Julie know we really would be coming back through Atlanta and accepting their open invitation of lodging. It certainly wasn't the original plan but it will be fun to get to see them again and check out how much they have improved their dart throwing. Steve is already saving dollar bills for the pool table challenges.
I have relaxed and unwound and I am ready to get home and start concentrating on getting Mike back to work. And even though the groundhog did say 6 more weeks of winter that means Spring in Ohio is just around the corner. Time to start planning for the Masters Party, and golfing season.

Got home in the wee hours of the morning - had a wonderful time with Brian and Julia. So glad you have had such fun and relaxation. What a precious event your Dad's B-Day was with you there!
We can't wait to have you back with us!
See you soon.
Smooches to you!
Good morning to you. I am most jealous of your good friends Tom and Julie who get to see not just one Stanford but two and not just one visit but two. I know y-all (southern for you all) will have a wonderful visit.
I struggled whether I should send this in a private email or the more public blog and decided to write about this here.
You made such an impression on the people in Tuesday's tennis clinic that on Sunday morning Meg (she was the blond nurse)asked if you were coming back and mentioned how much she enjoyed meeting and playing with you. I did explain to her how long we had been friends and why it was so important that you had a chance to relax down here. To make a long story short she asked me if you might like a prayer blanket for John. Of course I answered yes and she just left my house having delivered the blanket which I will mail off to you this afternoon.
The beautiful knit afghan (blanket)is to cover John in prayer and was made and prayed over by the parishioners at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Green Cove Springs, Florida. It is very inspiring. The information which is included with the blanket explains the origin of the Medal of the Blessed Virgin Mary which I remember having as a kid and may still have. "A Medal of the Immaculate Conception (Miraculous Medal)is sewn onto a corner of the blanket and covered with a red fabric heart." Meg mentioned that she is a member of the church that makes the blankets that her Mother does much of the work.
Now on a more boring note...yard work and house work is on my agenda today so driving out of Florida may sound appealing to you. Be safe and, as you head North, try to stay warm. You will note I still capitalize North.
Love to all and a special hello to your friends Tom and Julie.
