December 26, John's birthday
John turned 27 today. We celebrated! He and Jesi returned to Marysville tonight to prepare for another round of chemo starting tomorrow. AJ will stay with Grammy and Grampa and aunt Jessica until Friday when we go to Columbus to sent Jessica back to LA. It was a chaotic Christmas and that was good. There was so much going on that it was impossible to dwell on what might be happening next Christmas. We enjoyed all of the activity of the moment. It was fun, hectic and just plain busy. John did talk to the neurosurgeon today and they will be planning gamma knife surgery for the brain tumors, probably sometime in later January. It was great to have the family together this past weekend.

Hard to believe that John could possibly be turning 27 as it seems like only yesterday you called me with "guess what." I am glad you had a great Christmas as I am sure the whole family needed it. When I first read your comment I thought "oh how nice that Linda's parents came up for the holiday but how in the world can they take care of AJ for a few days." Of course the light did come on and you and Steve must be Grammy and Grampa. I am rather astonished that I have such old good friends. Love to all!
